Kanpur is the industrial capital of Uttar Pradesh and one of the major industrial hubs of the state. The city is noted for its diverse industries being an important center for textiles, leather, electronics, IT, automobiles and chemicals. The climate of the city is quite similar to that of New Delhi with hot summers and short winters. The dust storms are common here.
